Macedonia, Croatia sign police cooperation agreement

Macedonian Minister of Interior Gordana Jankuloska and her Croatian counterpart Ranko Ostojic signed Monday in Skopje a police cooperation agreement, as well as a protocol for cooperation between the two MoIs during the summer holiday season.

"We have confirmed the commitment of both countries to resuming the excellent cooperation thus far. To that effect, we have signed a new agreement on police cooperation, which practically means an up-dating of the regulations in favor of its further development," Jankuloska said at a joint press conference with Ostojic.

The two Ministers discussed the possibility Croatia to share its Euro-Atlantic integration experience with Macedonia, Jankuloska said.

Today, Jankuloska and Ostojic also signed a Protocol on cooperation during the summer holiday season, as great number of Macedonian nationals visit Croatia in that period.

Croatia will do its best to help Macedonia on its road to joining the Euro-Atlantic organizations, as well as to make progress in the police sector, Ostojic said.
