The 4.9-percent rise of industrial production in June is a good indicator of economic development, said Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on Wednesday.

"The rise of industrial production has an excellent trend. We has also seen other data, such as industry turnover, GDP and exports. We are now in a time when economy, especially the industry, posts a development trend", Gruevski told reporters.

According to him, the Government is working on maintaining and increasing this trend.

"This does not depend on us, but on the environment and exporting states. In hope that the European economy will continue to recover, we believe this trend will be as longer as possible, which will be reflected on our ultimate goal - opening of new jobs in Macedonia", stressed PM Gruevski.
