Weibo Group is making intensified preparations even exceeding our own expectations. The company is finishing its projects and hopefully by the year's end they will start building the plant, which is expected to be completed in less than 18 months. The plant will be inaugurated soon after opening up to 5.000 jobs. Macedonia is the fourth country where Weibo Group plans on opening several textile plants.

This was stated Monday by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski after being asked about his impressions of the meeting with the Weibo Group management held in China as part of his tour of several Asian countries, including Japan and South Korea.

"Weibo Group in April announced its investment in Macedonia following negotiations in the past five to six months. The company plans on hiring nearly 5.000 people in a period of four or five years in the factories. I've paid a visit to their factory and several shops in China. Weibo Group has factories in China, Cambodia and Turkey," said Gruevski.

In addition to textile plants, he added, the company also is intending to open at least two more plants related to the steel industry.

"They want the plants to be built on the same location in northeastern Macedonia," Gruevski stated.

Weibo Company currently employs 14.400 people in factories in China, Cambodia and Turkey and operates 2.900 shops in China.
