Government team presents Macedonia investment opportunities in Japan

Government delegation led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski presented the opportunities and benefits for investing in Macedonia at a business forum in Tokyo, organized by the Japan External Trade Organization.

Achievements of Macedonian economy, benefits of technological-industrial development zones, as well as potentials for investing in a number of areas were presented before the Japan business community.

In the framework of the visit, PM Gruevski met with Japan External Trade Organization president Hidehiro Yokoo.

Gruevski also met with Japan's Crown Prince Naruhito, which is the first time that a Macedonian premier holds talks with a high-ranking representative of the Japanese royal family.

In the government of Japan, Gruevski will meet his Japanese counterpart Yoshihiko Noda. This will be the first time a Macedonian premier to visit Japan's government and to meet with a Japanese counterpart since the two countries established diplomatic relations on 1 March 1994.

On Thursday, the Macedonian PM will hold a meeting with president of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Sadako Ogata for discussions on the current cooperation and possibilities for future projects.

Government's delegation will take off for Osaka, where a business forum is to be held at the Osaka Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with Japan External Trade Organisation.
