New student residential facilities put into service in Skopje

Eight new facilities in Stiv Naumov student dormitory, located in the Skopje settlement of Avtokomanda, were put Sunday into service. The 103 million denar investment was provided by the Ministry of Education and Science.

Four facilities include 10 residential rooms each and the rest are made up of 16 residential rooms each. Each facility also has special rooms for people with special needs.

"Based on projections, there is a possibility to accommodate 140 students. Following an upcoming announcement for accommodation, students from all over Macedonia who will apply are going to be accommodated here in the coming period," said Minister of Education and Science Spiro Ristovski who was accompanied by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski while touring the premises.

The complex, covering an area of 2,000 square meters, meets the standards for quality student accommodation, according to the minister.
