The ministers agreed that the agreement resulted from the exceptionally good cooperation between the two institutions, regulating a number of areas for further inter-institutional cooperation, including information exchange in the field of organized crime, exchange of police officers during the tourism season, as well as cooperation of services during high-risk public events.

The Ministry of Interior said in a press release the agreement also regulates cooperation in other spheres, such as vehicle registration and ownership, information exchange over the possession and ownership of real estate, movable property and securities, sending liaison officers or police attaches, joint training, seminars and workshops.
