On occasion of Jewish holiday Hanukkah, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski sent a note of congratulations to members of the Macedonian Jewish Community.

"This holiday confirms the victory of freedom and the free human spirit over violence, tyranny and slavery. Let the flame burning during the holiday be an eternal light in the life of the Jewish people, but also other nations aspiring for freedom, justice and dignity".
