Gruevski invites Romanian businessmen to invest in Macedonia

A government delegation on Monday  during its visit to Romania presented Macedonia's investment opportunities to representatives of Romanian companies in the field of automotive industry, construction, tourism, mining and mineral raw materials.

Some of them are planning to visit Macedonia in order to scan the conditions for running a business and to hold talks with relevant institutions. Presentations are also planned to be held in Romania to present the opportunities offered to foreign investors in detail.

"Useful meetings were held and I hope that a portion of the talks I've had with the CEOs of these major Romanian companies will result in an investment in Macedonia," Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said after meeting with the Romanian entrepreneurs.

Gruevski also met with Macedonian expatriates living in Romania and he is set to meet his Romanian counterpart Victor Ponta by the end of the day.

On Tuesday, PM Gruevski in Bucharest will attend a summit of heads of government from China and Eastern and Central European countries.

Last year, the summit was organized in Warsaw where it was announced that China would invest 10 billion dollars in Central and Eastern Europe. Macedonia by signing an agreement with the Chinese company Sinohydro Corporation for the construction of two new highways is one of the first CEE countries to be using funds from the special credit line.
