Kanceska-Milevska meets chairman of Hungarian Parliament cultural committee Simon

Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska had a meeting Thursday in Struga with Laszlo Simon, chairman of Hungary's parliamentary cultural and press committee.

The officials reaffirmed the excellent bilateral relations in the sphere of culture, and discussed on signing an annual cooperation programme, which is to boost the cooperation, the Ministry of Culture said in a press release.

Kanceska-Milevska briefed Simon, who is a guest of the 52. Struga Poetry Evenings (SEP), about the Government's investments in cultural projects. Simon on his part expressed satisfaction that several Hungarian authors, including one of most prominent poets Sandor Petofi, were included in the Macedonian Government's project 'Stars of World Literature'.

Simon invited Kanceska-Milevska to attend an international conference on state financing of cultural sector, which to take place in Hungary this October.

Today, Kanceska-Milevska and Simon, along with SEP Director Mite Stefoski and Hungarian Ambassador to Macedonia Jozsef Bencze, unveiled Sandor Petofi's bust at the Brothers Miladinov Memorial House in Struga.

The bust is a donation of Hungary's Ministry of Culture.
