Another 12 titles of the Government's project for translation of 1,000 vocational books used at 10 best universities across the globe according to the Shanghai ranking list have been promoted on Wednesday in Skopje.

Today's, 48th promotion since the project's launch in 2009, includes textbooks on entrepreneurship, innovations, medical science, veterinary medicine, law, economy, agriculture...

Over 800 vocational books have been translated within the project, which is to be wrapped up by the year-end.

These books are bringing the latest scientific literature to Macedonian students into their mother tongue, as it is the case with their peers at Harvard, Yale, Oxford..., Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said at the promotion.

This project has been one of the largest investment in Macedonia's education and it will have multiple, long-lasting effects on the country, Gruevski said, pointing out that the best international literature will initiate progress in domestic science, bring up experts that should accelerate the country’s development.

For Minister of Education and Science Spiri Ristovski the knowledge is a powerful tool for crucial changes in a society.
