Minister of Education and Science Spiro Ristovski handed over Thursday scholarship certificates to seven Macedonian students, who have been selected from two calls, thus obtaining the possibility to attend universities in Slovakia.

"Students have received scholarships at Slovakia's state universities, including a one-year programme for learning the Slovak language", said Ristovski.

Slovakia's Ambassador to Macedonia, Robert Kirnag stressed that Macedonian students could study under the same conditions as the domestic ones.

He added talks have been initiated with a Skopje high school over the introduction of Slovak language courses, so that future students could be prepared while in Macedonia.
