Government supports export in many ways: FinMin

Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski believes the Government stimulates export in many ways, whereas subsidies that certain big exporters require are not allowed.

"Export subsidizing is not allowed according to commitments we have with the World Trade Organization and CEFTA", Stavreski told journalists on Tuesday.

He added the Government has already secured cheap funds for export support at a rate of 5.5 percent, along with factoring and other new instruments by the Macedonian Bank for Development Promotion.

"A guarantee for investments abroad has also been secured, as well as long-term and short-term funds for liquidity and investments of export-oriented companies. I believe this, along with the maintenance of the lowest taxes in Europe has demonstrated the Government's support for export", underlined FinMin Stavreski.
