Macedonian Government to revive existing production facilities

Over 400 production facilities, which include whole or parts of complexes of former production facilities are on the list set up by the Macedonia's Government for so-called brown filed investments (purchasing or leasing of existing production facilities for launching a new production activity).

Government spokesman Aleksandar Gjorgiev told a press conference Sunday that the list included factories, manufacturing units, storehouses, business premises, hotels, recreation centers, greenhouses, parts of food-processing plants...

In the next few days the list will be posted on the website of the Government and the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion, enabling potential investors to get familiar with the offer.

The list will be also distributed to Macedonia's economic promoters abroad, Gjorgiev said.

This is a significant step to creating a favorable climate and providing conditions for realization of the brown field investments, which will be useful to both foreign and domestic businessmen, he said.

The Government will keep applying measures for bolstering the country's economic development, Gjorgiev said.
