The number of Turkish investments in Macedonia has increased, but businessmen from both countries are focusing on more intensive cooperation, said participants at a business forum on Monday.

Turkey sees Macedonia as a safe country to invest, offering excellent benefits and being close to European states.

"We have come to detect the fields for cooperation, because we want to invest even more", said Industrialists and Businessmen Association of Bursa representative Naci Sahin.

Tourism, agriculture, food, textile and construction are the most attractive sectors for Turkish investors.

The Economic Chamber of Macedonia, which organized the business forum, said Turkey assumes 10. spot in Macedonia's total trade exchange in 2012, standing at US$ 390 million.
