Macedonia, Kosovo to boost cultural cooperation

Macedonia and Kosovo inked Friday an agreement on advancing and intensifying their cooperation in the field of culture.

The document was signed in Pristina by Macedonia's Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska and the Kosovo Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Memli Krasniqi.

Kanceska-Milevska and Krasniqi at the meeting pledged to strengthen the cultural ties between the countries while discussing activities planned to be carried out in the forthcoming period.

The agreement envisages the countries' institutions and artists to have a impeccable communication and to stimulate their cooperation in an effort to result in a myriad of joint promotions and projects.

The two ministers concluded that the countries' cultural cooperation thus far had been prolific enabling several art, film, music and theater projects to be realised, the Ministry of Culture said in a press release.

During her day-long trip to Kosovo, Minister Kanceska-Milevska also met with Edita Tahiri -  Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister responsible for issues relating to foreign policy and national security.
