Construction of a new sports hall in a Mogila elementary school began on Monday, within the Government's project for construction of 145 school halls throughout Macedonia.

"The building of such facilities creates a different environment for young people, a healthy environment where youth will strengthen their bodies and minds, pulling them away from the vices of modern life. I am convinced such policy will largely contribute to development of the youth as the generating force of Macedonian society", stressed PM Gruevski, who attended the hall's opening.

Minister of Education and Science Pance Kralev said the sports hall cost Denar 24 million (EUR 400,000), allocated from the state budget and a Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) loan.

"This hall is one of the 53 in construction or already completed out of the 145 school sports halls envisaged in the project", emphasized Minister Kralev.
