FM Poposki meets Australian ambassador Studdert

Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Poposki met Friday with the Australian ambassador to Macedonia, Helena Studdert, who is based in Belgrade.

Poposki and Studdert at their meeting discussed the need of advancing bilateral relations, especially economic cooperation and trade exchange, and informing businessmen from both countries on the opportunities offered by Macedonia to potential investors from Australia.

Both interlocutors praised the ongoing bilateral cooperation and expressed readiness to bolster it.

Poposki and Studdert underlined the importance of the large Macedonian diaspora in Australia, serving as a bridge for cooperation and communication between the countries.

FM Poposki at the meeting voiced interest to visit Australia this year as well as to enable Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Kevin Rudd to visit Macedonia in due time.

Ambassador Studdert is in Macedonia as part of her activities to celebrate the Australian national holiday (Jan. 26).
