PM Gruevski today (Thursday, 16.04.2015) met the US Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs, Hoyt Yee.

Both sides welcomed the excellent relations between the Republic of Macedonia and the United States and expressed their commitment to further deepening of all areas of mutual interest.

They discussed the reforms implemented in our country towards the realization of the strategic goal of European and Euro-Atlantic integration. The Prime Minister further stressed the commitment and the willingness to continue the reform process in all areas where it is necessary and in is in the interest of the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia.

Both sides agreed that the current situation in the country is harming the country’s image and expressed confidence that these challenges need to be overcome within a short time through the institutions of the system. They emphasized the importance of the institutional dialogue and the need and priority of an active participation in the Parliament of all political parties. Both sides further stressed the significance of continuing the economic reforms in order to secure foreign investments and new jobs, while the Prime Minister thanked Mr. Yee for the US investments in the Republic of Macedonia.
