Law-enforcement officials late on Wednesday seized nearly 100 kilograms of high-quality marijuana in the vicinity of Dojran border crossing with Greece. The drug was packed in more than 50 packages and was found in the trunk of a motor vehicle.

"According to forensic analysis, the drug is of high quality, which is worth almost 1.000 to 1.500 euros per kilo on the Macedonian market, while in Western Europe it is sold for over 4.000 euros per kilo," Interior Minister Gordana Jankuloska stated on Thursday.

The drug was transported from Macedonia to Greece, which was its final destination.

MoI is to file criminal charges against three people for illegal production and selling of narcotics.
