He said that they picked Skopje from 40 cities in Europe due the fast-growing IT sector, accelerated economic development and high-educated personnel.

“We have also been encouraged by the favourable business environment in Macedonia and by the open approach of the authorities and local businesses. We will build a strong team in Skopje and will create value by offering exciting IT careers and experience for both professionals and graduates, thus increasing the maturity of the market,” Cotterell commented.

Expressing satisfaction that another foreign investor begins operation in Macedonia, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski said that such events are new impulse for government teams in continuous promotion of favourable business opportunities in the country.

Macedonia is known as one of the fastest growing market in IT sectors in this part of Europe. This trend is owed to our policies and development measures in the past years, stimulating the youth to study information technology, opening new faculties… These advantages and also good business conditions that Macedonia offers are the basic reason why world-renowned company Endava decided to expand its production here, Gruevski said.

Endava’s use of top technology and software solutions for large multinational companies in the banking, payments, insurance, retail, travel, telco, media and publishing sectors will mean additional improvement of Macedonia’s image, he said.

Endava signed five-year lease contract for office located in prestigious building ‘Kale.’ The office covers an area of 3.000sqm designed and furnished according to highest world standards in IT industry. Workspace has 19 meeting rooms, relaxation and game halls. Such concept, Endava CEO said, fully fits into Endava culture which means providing great work environment.
