Macedonia is placed 31. among 146 countries in the latest ranking "Best Countries for Business" of U.S. business magazine "Forbes", advancing by five spots compared to 2013.

According to "Forbes", Macedonia is the best country for business in the region, followed by Bulgaria on the 42. spot, Croatia (46), Montenegro (48), Turkey (50), Greece (51), Albania (58), BiH and Serbia (84).

By indicators, Macedonia is 3. in Red Tape, 6. in Monetary Freedom, 7. in Tax Burden, 17 in Market Performance, 21. in Investor Protection, 41 in Trade Freedom, and 61. in Technology.

The top ten best countries for business are Denmark, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Ireland, Sweden, Canada, Norway, Singapore, Switzerland and Finland, while the bottom is occupied by Libya, Chad and Guinea.
