Greek "Harma Fruit" to invest EUR 6 million in Macedonia

Greek company "Harma Fruit" will invest EUR 6 million in Macedonia, including the construction of a center for distribution and packaging of agriculture products and a freezer in Gevgelija by the year-end.

The Greek investor, which has registered the company in Macedonia under name "Agritera", held Tuesday a meeting with Minister for Foreign Investments Jerry Naumoff.

"Agritera' is surprised by the competitive business environment that Macedonia offers to investors, enabling export of high-quality agriculture products in Europe and beyond", said Naumoff.

Besides the EUR 3 million in the construction of a distribution center, "Agritera" plans to invest additional EUR 3 million.

"Agritera" owner Christos Kelesidis said the ideal location, favorable climate and products' quality were crucial in the investment decision.

"I want to express my gratitude for the hospitality and favorable working conditions. We have vast experience in this business and want to change the modus operandi of agriculture and production in your country. We want to build a big plant that would make us competitive at the European market", said Kelesidis.

"Harma Fruit" is one of the largest Greek companies for distribution of agriculture products at markets in Europe, the Middle East and Russia.
