Minister of Culture Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska arrived in Veles on Saturday to visit the new theater building which is under construction.

Speaking to reporters, she said the facility would be finished by September. The minister said that the activities were being conducted as planned. "By the end of this year, two new theater buildings will be inaugurated in Macedonia - the one being built in Skopje and the other in Veles," Kanceska-Milevska stated.

"Veles deserves a modern theater because it has a long tradition of theater performances and the city's theater ensemble is one of the most successful in the country. The investment is important not only for the citizens of Veles, but also for the people of Macedonia," the minister noted.

Funds for the construction have been provided by the country's budget.
