PM Gruevski says his party will take part local elections, which are to be free, fair and democratic

VMRO-DPMNE will take part in the local elections as it is a legal obligation. The election process is going to be free, fair and democratic and we are ready for enhanced election monitoring as we have sincere intention, idea and wish for the best to score the victory according to citizens' votes, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told reporters on Sunday.

"VMRO-DPMNE stands for the regular local elections to be held according to the schedule. They are our legal obligation, something that citizens are expecting and we are going to be fully committed, as thus far, to organize fair, democratic and free local elections at which citizens will express their free will and vote for mayors they believe will contribute most to their municipalities and every-day life," PM Gruevski said.

The Government, he said, is open for all new ideas, demands from the opposition in terms of up-dating the Voters' List, offering no opportunity to political rivals to accuse it of any illegal activity in regard to organizing of the election process.
