Jankuloska-Dacic: Macedonia and Serbia foster good cooperation

Relations between Macedonia and Serbia are good and the neighboring countries are focused on each other which makes it necessary to expand mutual cooperation and to launch fresh initiatives, Interior Minister Gordana Jankuloska and Serbian PM Ivica Dacic concluded Thursday at a meeting in Sarajevo on the sidelines of a regional conference on cyber security.

Jankuloska underscored the importance of cross border cooperation, especially the opportunity for the citizens of the two countries to cross the border only with biometric IDs, Tanjug reports.

The favorable cooperation between Macedonia and Serbia was reaffirmed by Dacic as well. "Recently, we have tried to develop good relations, legislation has been improved and several treaties have been signed in the interest of our citizens and the joint fight against crime," the Serbian PM stated.

Serbia and Macedonia in the future should focus on opening new border crossings and the combat against crime and corruption, according to Dacic.
