The Government did not send the delegation to Slupcane

Macedonia's Government has neither made a decision to mark nor sent a delegation to attend the event in Slupcane. In line with the law it considers the event as unofficial.

Hence, the Government regards that the presence of the individuals, members of the incumbent cabinet, is a private visit to a private commemoration, as it did not send nor authorize them to represent or speak there on its behalf.

The Government supports the development of a multi-ethnic society and works to that effect. However, it believes that confidence building among the communities cannot be effectively realized by isolated events that lack vast public support and are part of a political party agenda. On the contrary, it should be done by wide-accepted activities which would not hurt or mistreat the feelings of citizens or the foundations of the constitution.
