Premier Nikola Gruevski met Tuesday with the regional director of renowned French company "Carrefour", Christian Charitat.

PM Gruevski at the meeting was informed on Carrefour's decision to invest on the market in Macedonia by opening a hypermarket in a  new shopping mall in the capital, Skopje City Mall, which is to be inaugurated in September 2012.

"PM Gruevski congratulated him and wished success in the realization of this important investment, stressing that government institutions are going to provide support to successful start of the project".

Carrefour's director Charitat said his company's decision to expand its operations in Macedonia as an emerging with significant potentials was vital.

Carrefour is one of the largest hypermarket chains in the world.

He stated that Carrefour's investment would open 200 new jobs in Macedonia.

Both interlocutors concluded that the French investment in Macedonia would be an encouragement for the company to expand its activities on the Macedonian market.
