Agriculture Minister Dimovski meets Ukraine Ambassador Goncharuk

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy Ljupco Dimovski met Tuesday with Ukraine's Ambassador to Macedonia Yuriy Goncharuk, focusing on cooperation in the agriculture sector, with emphasis on bilateral trade exchange of agriculture products.

Ambassador Goncharuk briefed Minister Dimovski on the possibilities for export in Ukraine, especially of gardening products. Moreover, there is an increasing tendency of wine export. However, there are difficulties due to the visa regime, resulting in the insufficient use of export quotas.

Dimovski told Goncharuk that companies that want to invest in purchase-distribution centers could acquire state agriculture land, get tax facilitations, as well as swift company registration.

Interlocutors also referred to bilateral cooperation in the fields of quarantine and plant protection, in line with the International Plant Protection Convention, the Agriculture Ministry said in a press release.
