An osteodensitometry laboratory was put into service on Friday at the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Skopje.

The Euro 75.000 laboratory was procured through the government-run project for opening of scientific laboratories.

It is equipped with instruments for detecting the presence of osteoporosis, early diagnosis, regular check-ups and for treatment of patients.

The institution was opened in the 1960s. Minister Todorov said that the facility would undergo a reconstruction in the second stage of the project, which was backed by the Council of Europe Development Bank.
