As of midnight on Friday, the new regime for border crossing between Macedonia and Serbia entered into force envisaging the countries' citizens to travel only with their biometric identification documents.

Representatives of the two border police at a meeting on Friday also discussed measures about to be taken in an attempt to assist Macedonian nationals planning to travel to Serbia for the upcoming European Handball Championship, MoI says.

Those measures include opening of three additional lanes to exit Macedonia and additional lanes to enter from Serbia.
