Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski sent Christmas greetings Friday to the Head of Macedonian Orthodox Church, HH Stefan, and Orthodox faithful in Macedonia and the Diaspora.

"The greatest family Holiday Christmas offers opportunity to feel love for the closest ones, joy of being together and warmth of the family home. In the name of humanity our Saviour Jesus Christ came to the earth to comfort the human race, direct them to justice, truth and warm their hearts, souls with the divine lectures.

Let me wish for peace, tranquility and joy to fill the hearts of all believers, for them to keep giving unconditional love to and respect all of our friends and upgrade our common values. In this manner, united by the ideals of this Holiday, we will be able to quicken our pace to creating deeds and values for the benefit of our society and all citizens of the Republic of Macedonia. Let's celebrate our unity with God and pray for God to be with us and Macedonia," the PM says in his Christmas note.
