Certificates presented to students' firms with reduced costs for electronic registration

Riste Stefanov and Sinisa Stanoevic are the first firm owners who have used a government's measure under which costs for registering a firm by students electronically in the Central Register are reduced by 50%.

Vice PM and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski presented Tuesday certificates to Riste Stefanov - owner of "Our Winery" - and to Sinisa Stanoevic, who founded the firm "Milk Kingdom", wishing their businesses to attract many investments and to open new jobs.

The idea for starting up a business originated from the desire of establishing something of their own and new on the market, the young entrepreneurs stated.

Vice PM Stavreski said the government was implementing measures and activities to improve the business climate. In recent years, procedures for registering a firm have been accelerated and registration costs have been reduced.

"Today, we have the chance to promote a similar measure helping young people to start their own business. The government and the Central Register have decided to cut down costs for electronic registering of firms by students by 50% in order young people to be able to shape their own future and to launch firms with lower costs," Stavreski said.

The Central Register has introduced new systems for registration of companies and implemented new tariff rates. Students have the chance to register a firm electronically for only 20 euros.

Macedonia in World Bank reports was ranked first for two years in a row according to the indicator for starting a business.
