Skopje municipality Aerodrom opens public tender for reconstruction of schools, kindergartens

Skopje municipality Aerodrom has opened public tender for reconstruction of five schools and two kindergartens, Vice-Premier for Economic Affairs, FinMin Zoran Stavreski and Mayor Ivica Koneski told reporters on Sunday.

For this project, which is to kick off next month, the municipality has allocated EUR two million, Koneski said.

By the year end these educational institutions will get new image in line with the European standards, Koneski said.

The Aerodrom municipality serves as an example of how own investments in capital, infrastructure projects may contribute to advancing the citizens' quality of life, Stavreski said.

In this manner the municipality fits into the Government's efforts to support the power decentralization process, he added.

The project will also offer work to construction companies, which is the municipality's contribution to dealing with the European crisis and its consequences on Macedonia's economy, Stavreski said.
