PM Zaev meets UN Women representative Noel Vaeza

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev met Wednesday with Maria Noel Vaeza, UN Women’s Director of the Programme Division, and Dominika Stojanoska, head of the UN Women Office in Skopje.

Interlocutors discussed the enhancement of women's role in the society, as well as the significance of the issue of securing gender equality, saluting the Government's aim to implement gender equality in general policies.

PM Zaev highlighted the Government's resolve for dignified treatment and respect of gender policies.

"This is seen through the numerous measures in the Government's program, providing equal opportunities for women and men in society through equal access to paid and decent work, accompanied by enhancement of the institutional care in families", said Zaev.

UN representative Noel Vaeza voiced support to Macedonia's Euro-Atlantic integration, seeing a good partner in the Macedonian government for enhancement of further cooperation.

In addition, Zaev thanked the UN network in Macedonia for the implementation of numerous projects that contribute to the improvement of the people's living quality.
