Zaev meets European Union Ambassadors to Macedonia, says Brussels supports a reform agenda

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and members of the Macedonian Government met with Ambassadors of the European Union to Macedonia to discuss the program of the Government.

Тhe topics of discussion included ensuring professional institutions, a functional Parliament and independent judiciary and media.

"The inclusive policies were welcomed at the meeting and a message of optimism from Brussels was conveyed that the Government of Macedonia will put the country on the right path. It was emphasized that the Republic of Macedonia has determined to be a European country. We are dedicated to defining a short and medium term agenda for the urgent reform priorities. I will speak about this at my meeting with Commissioner Hahn in Brussels. The European integration is a strategic goal of Macedonia and it is in the interest of the Macedonian citizens to have democratic institutions", Zaev said at the meeting.

Zaev also said that he is prepared to work with the opposition and with President Gjorge Ivanov. "We are focused on cooperation with the civil secot and all other factors in the society, because only together we can truly contribute to developing Macedonia, and to ensuring quality life for all its citizens", Zaev added. He was accompanied by Defense Minister Radmila Sekerinska and Deputy Prime Minister Bujar Osmani.
