Modern medical equipment to be procured for Tetovo Hospital: minister

The Ministry of Health has kicked off a major project to procure new and state-of-the-art equipment for public health institutions in Macedonia.

Devices for over 100 public health institutions are expected to be bought under the €33-million project, Health Minister Nikola Todorov told a news conference on Sunday.

The cycle of procurements takes off with a tender for new medical equipment for the Tetovo Clinical Hospital, issued by the Ministry of Heath.

"The tender, estimated at close to €2 million, is opened to procure more than 1,200 instruments of medical equipment, which is set to be put into function to radically improve the quality of services provided in the Tetovo Hospital," Todorov said.

The Tetovo Clinical Hospital, he added, is one of the most vital health institutions in the country providing services to over 200,000 inhabitants.

The Ministry of Health remains committed to buying new and modern equipment for health institutions across the country, Todorov pledged.
