Interior Minister Jankuloska at annual assembly of the Macedonian Police Syndicate’s Central Council

Annual assembly of the Central Council of the Macedonian Policy Syndicate was held Saturday in Ohrid whereat activities conducted during 2011 were analyzed and points upon which the work of Police Syndicate should focus in 2012 were defined.

Addressing the members of the Police Syndicate, Interior Minister Gordana Jankuloska said that the meeting in Ohrid is another opportunity for exchange of opinions and positions related to achieved results, the way of joint work in the ministry and dealing with other problems.

- Ministry of Interior in conditions of large economic crisis succeeded in full to respond to set tasks. Here I mainly mean on carrying out fundamental functions of the state and fulfilling obligations towards our employees. Our common wish and goal as social partners is to improve working conditions, respect of the rights from labour relations and enabling as much as possible to keep pace with latest methods of police work, Jankuloska said.

- On this occasion I want to point out that large portion of notes by Police Syndicate referring to the needs for normal functioning of the ministry were taken into consideration while structuring the 2012 budget which means that all lacking in equipment and other needs we will try to realize in 2012, Jankuloska said.

Police Syndicate president Tihomir Klimoski expressed satisfaction from efficient contacts with the Ministry as employer and social partner in the talks.

- Our relation is constructive and cooperative. I hope that such practice will continue in the future in interest for our employees. We are entering New Year in which we expect continuation of the activities, which lagged in certain spheres. The focus will be implementation of so called career system, which is unique for high professionalization of our colleagues, he said.
