Todorov says healthcare investments will top 200 million EUR in four years

Health Minister Nikola Todorov said that total investments in public healthcare in the next four years will amount to 200 million EUR, that will be used for new healthcare facilities and equipment. Todorov was at the Cardiosurgery Clinic on Sunday, where he discussed the planned reconstruction.

"Investments in new equipment will amount to four million EUR, and there will be 170 million EUR for infrastructure development. The Cardiosurgery Clinic will receive a new hybrid operating room, that will improve the capacity of the entire public healthcare system. We are talking about a room unlike anything in the region", said Minister Todorov, adding that the investments will lead to less invasive procedures, faster hospital discharges and less days off work for the patients.

Main capital investments will include a new clinic complex in Skopje, new hospital in Stip, reconstruction of the Cardiosurgery Clinic and the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Skopje, and other projects.
