Macedonia's caretaker PM Dimitriev meets Chinese PM Li Keqiang

Macedonia's caretaker Prime Minister Emil Dimitriev and Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang highlighted Friday in Riga the good bilateral relations as a warranty for advancing the economic cooperation.

Dimitriev said he briefed the Chinese PM about the successful realization of China-financed projects in Macedonia.

"Macedonia is the first of the sixteen Central and Eastern European countries to have used China's funds for financing infrastructure projects, which are in the final stage. They are the best foundation for further economic cooperation and to that effect I've presented projects to the Chinese PM".

Dimitriev also briefed the Chinese PM about the latest World Bank's Doing Business report, in which Macedonia is ranked as 10th globally and fifth in Europe according to its conditions for running a business.

Dimitriev expressed believe that such ranking would attract new Chinese investments in Macedonia, which should contribute to creating jobs and to the country's economic prosperity in general.

Dimitriev is paying a three-day visit to Riga, which is hosting the fifth meeting of heads of government of Central and East European countries and China.
