Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Abdilaqim Ademi briefed Monday United States Ambassador Paul Wohlers that Macedonia has accepted the U.S. proposal over implementation of project "Enhancing Capacity for Low Emission Development Strategies".

Minister Ademi said the meeting also focused on a number of issues in the environment field.

"I used the opportunity to thank the Ambassador for his support to the Republic of Macedonia. We agreed that political and diplomatic bilateral relations are excellent and should be used for enhancement of economic cooperation", he added.

Ambassador Wohlers said the meeting tackled environmental issues related to economy, air and water pollution etc.

"It is a fact these issues have an effect on economy, but also on citizens' health. Therefore, I believe these are significant issues that need to be addressed", underlined Wohlers.
