PM Gruevski holds political, business meetings in Suzhou

At the sidelines of the CEE-China summit in Suzhou, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski met Wednesday with politicians from countries present at the event and companies-potential investors in Macedonia.

PM Gruevski and Estonian counterpart Taavi Roivas highlighted the bilateral friendly relations characterized by stability, mutual respect and support. They agreed on the need for increase of economic cooperation, trade exchange and cooperation in the investment field.

"We focused on several topics, one being Macedonia's EU and NATO integration efforts. Estonia is a member of these alliances and it is always good for a member-state to listen to our positions and challenges we face, in order to help us in the lobbying process", said Gruevski.

Interlocutors also referred to the migrant crisis and current challenges for Macedonia and other European countries, as well as possible solutions.

In addition, PM Gruevski held informal meetings with colleagues from the Balkan region.

"I had the opportunity to talk to the PMs present at the summit on issues related to European integration and the migrant crisis, but also bilateral relations and countries' perspectives", he added.

Moreover, Gruevski presented Macedonia's investment opportunities at meetings with Chinese companies.

"We offered a number of projects, exchanged proposals and ideas. Communication will continue towards realization projects for improvement of living quality and opening of new jobs", underlined Gruevski.
