Gruevski: Negotino industrial zone to enhance regional development, open jobs

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, Negotino Mayor Vanco Apostolov and businessmen Ilija Gecev launched Saturday the construction of new industrial zone "Negotino".

The zone is located near the motorway and the railroad, with a capacity of 26 facilities.

"The Government's strategy and policies for enhanced economic development, attraction of new investments, opening of jobs and continual progress resume in all fields", said PM Gruevski.

He said the Government would continue to promote the country's investment opportunities before companies throughout the globe.

"We are continuing to invest in motorways, railways, education, improvement of the business environment, support to the economy, construction of industrial-development zones, as well as series of other activities of enormous significance for the country's economic development", stressed Gruevski.

Investor Ilija Gecev, owner of IGM company, said the zone would include a mix of stores with commodities from China and Korea.

"The commodities will arrive in containers at the Thessaloniki port, and here we are planning to create the most successful industrial zone in the country", said Gecev.

Mayor Apostolov voiced satisfaction from the launch of the construction works and the Government's support.
