Gruevski: One million Euros set aside to finance projects in Kumanovo municipality

On Saturday Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski surveyed several government-run projects in Kumanovo and its area while meeting with the residents of several settlements.

He kicked off his day-long tour with a meeting with the inhabitants of Romanovce settlement, where the government is funding an urban plan by providing MKD five million (EUR 81,000).

Its residents welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit for having the opportunity to discuss with him on several issues, including the construction of sewage in the settlement.

PM Gruevski told them that the Government was putting aside finances in order to solve similar issues in the settlements elaborating that the mayor of Kumanovo at the latest call for financial assistance had failed to submit project proposals.

The Government, he said, is singling out one million Euros to support projects in the municipality of Kumanovo. “If the (sewage) is labelled as priority, it will be supported,” Gruevski vowed.

Every year, the Government provides funds from the Rural Development Programme for those municipalities which will apply with a project, he added.

PM Gruevski is set to meet later in the day with the residents of several villages in the region of Kumanovo.

Премиерот Груевски ја продолжи посетата со средби со жителите на населбата Гоце Делчев и селата Пчиња, Никуљане, Младо и Старо Нагоричане.
