Caravan on subsidized housing project resumes on September

Caravan on subsidized housing project implemented by the Ministry of Finance will restart as of September. The goal of the caravan is for the citizens to become more closely acquainted with benefits offered by this project.

The caravan begins on September 2nd in Stip and resumes every Wednesday in other cities of the country.

Our goal is to visit cities which we did not visit previously, and it is primarily Tetovo, Strumica, Kumanovo, Veles and several other cities, and to also re-visit Ohrid, Prilep and other places where citizens showed interest for the project. The project's goal is to get closer to citizens and to provide them with all necessary information, Deputy PM and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski said Thursday.

So far, 630 families used the opportunities offered by the project and solved the housing problem.

The project is intended for citizens who have low income and are not able to repay the installment for the apartment or to pay part for getting a loan to build a house in the first few years. In this part we offer help with subsidies. For example, if a citizen wants to buy an apartment and apply for a bank loan of €30.000, then the monthly installment would be about €184 and with the project the state will pay €92 and the citizens will pay €92, Stavreski said.

He added that subsidies are bigger if someone wants to build a house; in that case one can receive €10.000 or €15.000 support from the state.
