PM Gruevski: Government's project for opening rural drugstores rather successful

A total of 66 drugstores have been opened in 38 municipalities across Macedonia, meeting the needs of 130.000 citizens, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told reporters on Thursday, saying that the Government's project for opening pharmacies in rural areas has turned out to be a very successful one.

"Responding to the request of residents of rural areas we have been working on the project for opening rural drugstores, which is rather significant for the residents as now they may purchase medications in their village or municipality instead of taking long trips to so," Gruevski said.

In addition, six movable drugstores have been also set into operation. This project is also very successful and citizens are satisfied that drugstore vehicles visit their villages three-four times a week and supply them with medications, Gruevski said.
