Gallery "Nobelists and ARM for Peace" opens

Gallery "Nobelists and ARM for Peace" opened Monday in the Army Museum-Museum of Macedonia, in the spirit of Macedonia's 20. independence anniversary and 10 years of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, as well as in light of the 20. anniversary from the Macedonian Army (ARM) establishment.

Defense Minister Fatmir Besimi said the exhibit sends a message of peace as an universal value for a better future, dedicated to Macedonia's peace efforts in global terms, along with gratitude to all those who have contributed to peace in Macedonia.

"Give Macedonia a chance, give peace a chance, let's succeed in establishing long-term peace and sustainable development on the Balkans", said Besimi.

The gallery brochures present the image of Mother Teresa and ARM troops, since as Besimi stated, "they fight for the same goal - world peace".

In cooperation with the Oslo-based Nobel Committee, the photo-gallery includes an authentic copy of the peace certificate presented to Mother Teresa in 1979, which is displayed for the first time in public, in her birthplace Skopje.

The event was attended by the diplomatic corps, accredited military attaches, representatives of religious communities, generals and other guests
