First group of children leaves on free holiday

Minister of Labor and Social Policy Dime Spasov sees off Wednesday the first group of children to a free holiday in Struga, in the frames of the government's project for supporting children from families at social risk and those who are beneficiaries of social welfare.

The implementation of the project continues. Today we are sending the first group of 100 children from Skopje and Kumanovo. New group of will leave for free holiday every 7 days, and the project will be realized until the end of August including 2.000 children, Spasov said.

He added that the project is being realised since 2012 with the funds provided from the budget amounting to Denar 12 million (8 million for summer holiday and 4 million for winter holiday).

He said that so far, 11.000 children have benefited free summer and winter holidays.

The secretary of the Red Cross of Skopje, Suzana Tuneva Paunovska said that 55 Macedonian Red Cross volunteers will take care of children, organize swimming lessons as well as recreational and educational activities.
