FM Poposki meets his Greek counterpart Kotzias in Budapest

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias held talks Tuesday in Budapest with his Macedonian counterpart Nikola Poposki at the sidelines of a meeting on energy security in Central and Southeast Europe.

The two ministers discussed issues related to energy sector, bilateral transborder cooperation and matters of regional interest, Greece's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

Kotzias in particularly referred to adoption of measures for confidence building between the two countries. However, he said the Greek position on the name issue, which is a subject of negotiations under the mediation of UN Secretary General Envoy Matthew Nimetz, was not changed. He also reaffirmed the Greek firm positions on Macedonia's Euro-Atlantic perspective, the press release reads.
