New public call for employment of 30 parentless children issued

Another 30 persons who were parentless children and children without parental care until the age of 18 will be employed with new public call which is open until March 4. In December 2014, also public call for 30 jobs to parentless children was issued and the procedure is in its final phase.

New public call implemented through D10 programme for employment of 30 parentless children is opened and will last until March 4. All interested and unemployed who were parentless children and children without parental care by the age of 18 can apply, Labour Minister Dime Spasov said during his visit to SOS Children’s Village.

Since the launch of D10 programme two years ago, 83 parentless children, who left residential institutions devoted to the care of orphans, have been employed, he said underlying that the employment of 30 children is in final phase.

The programme is successful measure and systematic solution which shows that with the state aid a safe future for these children can be created. As government we will continue with direct and immediate care to introduce different types of support, Spasov said.

Director of SOS Children's Village, Violeta Georgievska said that the programme helped the employment of parentless children and children without parental care and so far two young people from this institution have been employed, expressing hopes that more young people that will meet the criteria will be employed this year as well.

SOS’ Children’s Village executive manger Julijana Gapo said that employment of every young people is a huge challenge especially for the young of this vulnerable category. We welcome the initiative which is being implemented for several years and already has given successful examples giving opportunity for better and more successful future to young people, Gapo said.
