Pesevski: World Bank projection is on daily basis, Government cannot do this

With regards to the latest World Bank projections over Macedonia's GDP growth by 2.5 percent in 2012, compared to the Government's projections of 4.5 percent, Vice Premier for Economic Affairs Vladimir Pesevski said Thursday the Government cannot alter projections on a daily basis, since this is a law drafted by the Government and passed by the Parliament.

"The World Bank has said it makes changes on a daily basis, since the dynamics of the global crisis alters depending on political developments in countries, and we do not have the luxury to made daily change of projections", Pesevski told journalists.

According to him, the 2012 draft-budget is flexible and can be adjusted in the course of the year.

"For the time being, the Government remains on the given projections in the draft-budget", said Pesevski.
